My newfound lifestyle of minimalism has changed me in many ways.  I've gotten rid of a lot of unnecessary items and I avoid purchasing things that won't fit in effortlessly with the wardrobe that I currently have. The entire process of minimalist living has taught me not to over consume but to buy each piece with discretion.  I believe that creating a capsule wardrobe is important; you may notice that my looks have become gray-scale.  As a previous sucker for all things bright, I've realized how I'd missed out on the beauty of the classic hues of black, white & gray.

My shoe selection is pretty minimal as well, keeping my same hue scheme for the most part but adding nudes and blush colors for a pop of color.  *It really is humorous that I'm considering blush colored shoes a pop of color!*  These classic cut ankle boots from DSW have become my favorite;  I've worn them with tunic dresses and I've even paired them with sweatpants!  I crave versatility in the pieces that I own.  Getting ready in the morning is so easy because everything has harmony and can be layered differently to create a whole new look!  I've raved about just how much I love DSW and the way they treat their customers, I believe it makes their shoes even better!

90'S ESQUE

Boot season in Arizona is a little different, it calls for days that allow you to wear over the calf boots paired with light weight slip dresses and maybe a cozy throw jacket for later in the day when the temps drop.  I recall one particular week this winter where it actually felt like a winter--  The week us Arizonians freaked out because we got an incredible amount of snow in the valley and all stores were sold out of heaters!  I am happy to say that those days are over and fortunately for us, temps have not exactly gone up to the typical desert heat that we usually dread -HOORAY- boot season stays!

It has been a while since I've last worn heeled boots, I almost forgot how much I love them.  These are from DSW. There are so many fabulous boot trends that can be found at DSW right now; the selections are incredible!  Each time I visit DSW it truly comes with an experience.  As soon as you walk in you're greeted, the associates are knowledgeable about what is in store and what they haven't received just yet-- they always have an answer to my many questions but my favorite is the checkout process.  The checkout process is the overall deciding factor of how much you're going to enjoy your purchase.  Have you ever left a store not feeling 100% about your purchase?  You were sold on the product but maybe you weren't totally treated as you thought you should have been-- I always have good conversations about style with the associates at DSW and leave feeling like I just got the steal of the decade  *skips out of door*! My in store experiences make me love DSW even more.
