#BrosiaEATS: DINNER // Zucchini Spaghetti

My taste buds were set on Zucchini Spaghetti tonight-- in fact, my taste buds have craved the dish for the past several weeks.  In 2015 my goal is to refrain from eating out often.  Last year I ate out 4-5 times a week, some weeks were better than others.  It is way too often that I go out to eat and am totally not pleased with my meal, wishing I'd stayed home and made something myself.  I am tired of wasting calories on ill food.

I went out and purchased a Veggetti today I've had my eye on it for a few weeks and I'm pretty certain this is like, one of the best purchases that I've made this month!  Satisfying my cravings, Zucchini Spaghetti for dinner tonight, tomorrow night and maybe even the night after, ha!

#BrosiaEATS: LUNCH

I'm doing my best to always make getter decisions on meal choices,  avoiding the drive-thru lines and keeping far away from the microwave.  I moved during the first week of the year and my new house didn't come equipped with a microwave, so I'm going with it.  I'm all about the stove, oven and cold meals at this point!

For lunch today I had Swai, seasoned with lemon, pepper and topped off with parsley flakes.  Along side of the fish I had quinoa-- I really enjoy the mixed quinoa packages available at Target, I've mentioned them in the past and have round this particular mix to be my favorite-- it includes spinach, tomatoes and delicious feta cheese. So yummy!  I washed it all down with a refreshing cup of sweet tea.

#BROSIAEATS: BAYOU SHRIMP

This bayou shrimp recipe was absolutely delicious.  Although the image in the recipe was a bit more of a brownish hue than the outcome of my own,  my taste buds still jumped for joy.

MAKING MUSTARD CRUSTED CHICKEN

I recently reviewed a food service box that provides new recipes each week, not only do they share amazing recipes but you also get fresh food delivered to your door step.  Cooking with these recipes made me feel like such a chef.  Literally everything needed to be prepared from scratch but it was all so simple and believe it or not, the meal was ready in under an hour! Check out my first time experiencing the fine service:

Do you consider yourself a good cook?

FOR THE SOUL

I love the idea of Veganism but I’m not a fan of being strict on my lifestyle.
I like to dedicate a few days of my week to keeping meat off my menu.
Today is not that day.

This was all slow baked in an oven baking bag:
Corn // Carrots // Potatoes // Green Peppers // Celery // Chicken

What is your favorite comfort food?

HOW TO MAKE ICED COFFEE

My love for coffee didn't begin until I was a senior in high school, when I applied for my 2nd job in life at Starbucks!  I knew nothing about coffee, tea, or any other "fancy" drink for that matter.  But I did know one thing, I was excited to be around people that were happy and friendly.  Any time I visited a Starbucks, which was rare at that time (because they hadn't built them on every other corner yet) I enjoyed talking to the baristas.  Back in the day, I never went for the drinks I always grabbed the pastries!  To get back on track, my love for coffee began while I was a barista.  We had to taste each blend and describe all of its notes, fruity, earthy, bold, smooth, etc. Honestly, in the beginning I would just throw things out there based on what an older woman that I worked with said (LOL) later in the game my taste buds became THAT much more sophisticated and I was then able to accurately describe a blend.  Pretty much, that is when it all started now coffee is a daily ritual that I truly enjoy.
