TEA OR COFFEE

I never thought the day of me preferring tea over coffee would ever come.  I noticed I wast finishing my favorite iced coffee day by day and eventually I woke up about to head off to grab my coffee (this is literally a daily ritual) and I had no desire to do it.  I'll have to explain the deets in a video, it is quite funny as everyone knows that I love coffee and my day begins with it.  Some people take their vitamins in the morning, I took my coffee with 2% milk and vanilla in the morning *giggles*!

I'm a Taurus and we need rituals, we feed on consistency and routines so I needed something in place of my morning coffee because life just didn't feel the same without drinking something in the morning.

I'll have a chai with milk & honey, please.

I've reverted back to my old time favorite TAZO chai from Starbucks.  This was all I ever drank when I worked for Starbucks back in 2006 because I had never drank coffee.  I believe I've told this story before but when you're an employee for Starbucks it is important to know what each roast was like so we often did taste tests in store before opening.  In the beginning I cringed and then those cringes turned into mmmm's!

What is your favorite tea?

PICNIC W/ THE PUPS

Why am I barely getting to posting the images from this awesome late morning picnic on my lawn? I decided to do something different and soak in some morning sun, enjoy my favorite coffee, Starbucks and snack on granola.  If you have seen my recent videos then you know that I can not do anything at home without my assistants Coco & Carter accompanying me and taking the perfection out of the plans.  I love these guys so much, they keep me grounded LOL!

POUR IT OVER

My love for Starbucks coffee is chronic, in late evenings I look forward to the morning time in which I can make myself another cup.  I've been using the Classic Pour-Over brewing method from Starbucks for the past month and I find myself grabbing for this over the French Press as of late.

The Classic Pour-Over sits directly on top of the cup that you plan on enjoying your coffee from

Using a #2 coffee filter, add your coffee.
Side Note:
I recently purchased a coffee grinder and it has taken my coffee to another level.  Trust me, the little things really do count in creating the perfect cup.

After using the Classic Pour-Over a few times to get taste that I desire I found that when I grind the coffee really fine it creates the best flavor.  Simply amazing and I look forward to it every single morning.

What is your favorite blend?

MICROSOFT COMES TO CHANDLER

I had the pleasure of being able to stop by the new Microsoft store in Chandler Fashion Center before tomorrows grand curtain drop and got a chance to have a 1 on 1 with the new local store manager, Joe Solomon.  Joe gave me the deets on some of their new and amazing technology along with wonderful community outreach perks that they provide!  Check out some of the products!

OCTOBER LOVES

When October comes around there is a certain crisp feeling in the air, that lets me know that the holiday season is here.  I look forward to the little things-- family outings, movies in the park, carving pumpkins, baking pumpkin seeds and doing facials with the pumpkin goo! *Smiles*

What do you look forward to during the holiday season?

ESPRESSO FOR THE GARDEN

Did you know that coffee grounds can be beneficial for plants?  The used coffee grounds provide organic matter to your soil and improves the quality of it.  You can also add it to your compost, which is something I will talk about later!  If you've had a problem with bugs around your plants this is a great/non-toxic way to control that problem

HOW TO MAKE ICED COFFEE

My love for coffee didn't begin until I was a senior in high school, when I applied for my 2nd job in life at Starbucks!  I knew nothing about coffee, tea, or any other "fancy" drink for that matter.  But I did know one thing, I was excited to be around people that were happy and friendly.  Any time I visited a Starbucks, which was rare at that time (because they hadn't built them on every other corner yet) I enjoyed talking to the baristas.  Back in the day, I never went for the drinks I always grabbed the pastries!  To get back on track, my love for coffee began while I was a barista.  We had to taste each blend and describe all of its notes, fruity, earthy, bold, smooth, etc. Honestly, in the beginning I would just throw things out there based on what an older woman that I worked with said (LOL) later in the game my taste buds became THAT much more sophisticated and I was then able to accurately describe a blend.  Pretty much, that is when it all started now coffee is a daily ritual that I truly enjoy.

SCORPION CREEK

Jumper: Eight Sixty // Shoes: Forever21 // Hat: BCBGMaxazria // Glasses: RayBan // Watch: Skagen // "Ambrosia" Necklace: Vintage, Mother had it made when I was a baby // Bag: Fossil

Summer has passed us by but the heat still lingers.  I've darkened the colors of my wardrobe a bit but have not opted for anything full length up top just yet, I'd more than likely melt.  A typical Arizona fall remains warm through the end of October so my cozy cardi's will remain tucked away until then.  Today we had some fun exploring South Mountain's stone homes where the scorpions stay (I didn't see any) I remember when I was a little girl I would always get so excited to come here.

Closet Clear Out With Bottled Starbucks® Iced Coffee

It's been a brutally hot summer which has led me to start spending a bit more time indoors.  It has actually been a good thing because it allows me to get more things done around the house.  I've decided to tackle my closet,
